Woodworking, for me, is just building smaller things. It has
always been a part of my carpentry experience. My first house
started the tradition of building some truly unique, handcrafted
projects that acted as a signature. In this case it was a six
inch thick, stacked lamination sculpted mahogany door and built-in
mahogany cabinets. These were handcrafted in 1977 with my current
foreman, Alfred "Chip" Patterson.
Since that time we have built steam bent arched bridges, beds,
entertainment centers, and in 2002, Chip and I crafted and sculpted
a period handrail which was great fun.
All of our woodworking projects have been influenced by and designed
with the owners and are almost always produced on site.
